2023-24 Winter BDL Travel League

Registration has closed for this season.

What is the BDL Travel League?

Community based travel basketball is the perfect bridge between rec team basketball and club based programs. Girls will be divided into teams based off of grade level, with one to two teams per grade dependent on registration numbers. Each team will participate in league play through Badger Developmental League (BDL), with three games generally taking place on one day - weekends (Saturday/Sunday), beginning in mid-November. You can expect the following commitment regardless:

  • All levels: 2 practices per week starting mid-October and running through January  (some teams may choose to extend practices further into February and March
  • 4th-8th grade: Five (5-6) regular season weekends and a season-ending tournament. (Teams will play in 2-3 games per day on 5-6 different dates / end of year tourney to comprise their 17-18 games.) All games on each date are all in the same community, beginning in mid-November.
  • 3rd grade: 12 game guarantee (typically 2 games per tourney date)

In addition, we trust and encourage all Stoughton Youth Basketball coaches to find tournaments & events versus suitable competition on non-BDL dates or after the BDL league season. Typically, our older teams take advantage of more of these opportunities.
